Hi, I’m a Gaming YouTuber, Twitch Streamer, and I specialize in making stuff that enhances other games to share with others.
My first claim to fame is Super Hostile map series for Minecraft, which started in 2011. Minecraft at the time had a primarily adult/teenage player base, and as with all sandbox games… People always wanted a to find something new to do with the sandbox.
I’ve always made mods and maps for various games, so at first making stuff for Minecraft was just another project to share… I made a map of difficult dungeons, and included a clearly set goal: “Complete the Monument”. That goal actually became an entire genre referred to as “CTM maps”. I lost count of the downloads for my Super Hostile maps at around 1,385,000 in 2012. But I suspect the number continued increasing dramatically for at least a few years after that considering the consistent downloads I see happening almost 10 years later.
During all this, I started a Youtube channel Vechs that had reached over 240k subscribers. This was back when no one really knew what the “right” way to do Youtube looked like. I posted developer commentaries for each of my maps and videos of testing out traps and theories in Minecraft. Which people found useful and was a chance for both my fans and I to get to know each other.
I joined a Minecraft server with a group of Youtubers called MindCrack, which made for some fun Let Plays/UHCs. Which led me to make Let’s Play series for more than just Minecraft to this day.
More recently I’ve been really passionate about game design for more than just Minecraft. I’ve been reviewing lots of games, playing/developing content for D&D, and looking forward to the release of Hytale.
I’m currently working on videos for Youtube, the biggest Minecraft map I’ve ever made, live streaming on Twitch, DMing D&D for patrons, and more!
